Tuberous sclerosis

Discussion:

There are multiple T2 hyperintense cortical tubers, numerous calcified sub-ependymal nodules and white matter abnormalities.

In addition this case demonstrates the "radial bands sign" that comprise of multiple hyperintense bands radiating from the periventricular region to the cortical surface.

It is believed to be due to migration abnormalities associated with tuberous sclerosis.
