What is the abnormality?
Subarachnoid haemorrhage in the interpeduncular cistern.
Are you expecting to find an aneurysm in this patient?
Not really, as this is the typical presentation and appearance of a non-aneurysmal perimesencephalic haemorrhage. Nonetheless extensive assessment of the intracranial circulation is required to ensure an arterial abnormality is not present.
Blood is seen in the perimesencephalic cistern.
