Cerebral amyloid angiopathy

Discussion:

The patient had chronic renal failure and found to have also amyloidosis. Cerebral amyloidosis can be manifested as spontaneous intracerebral hematoma, amyloidoma or white matter changes. The left thalamic hematoma could be due to hypertension or amyloidosis however, the foci of micro hemorrhages are likely related to amyloid angiopathy
