Multiple small aneursyms of visceral arteries (branches of renal arteries, splenic artery, hepatic artery and lumbar arteries).
What could be the most likely diagnosis?
Based on typical involvement of small visceral arteries, polyarteritis nodosa can be kept as most likely diagnosis.
Considering non-specific and minor symptoms, should the treatment be postponed?
Polyarteritis nodosa is a fatal condition, if left untreated. Condition should be promptly treated with corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide.
Do you know any viral antigen, particularly associated with this condition?
20-30% of PAN patients are HBs Ag positive.
