Hip replacement with constrained liner

Comment from Orthopedic surgeon:-

" The x-ray of the right hip shows a type of constrained liner which is used as a revision prosthesis for recurrent dislocation.  The ring is probably not 'slipped'. It appears to be in good position. It acts as a constraining ring for the outer leaves of a polyethylene constrained liner ".
