Ankle (distal fibular) fracture - Weber C

Discussion:

Distal fibular fractures are a group of injuries that can vary significantly in their seriousness and the treatment required.

The Weber classification uses the tibiofibular syndesmosis to group these injuries into 3 sets. Those above the syndesmosis are the most severe (type C) and are unstable injuries, usually requiring internal fixation.
