Neurofibromatosis type 1 with optic nerve glioma

Discussion:

This case demonstrates  a patient with a known diagnosis of NF1 showing focal areas of signal intensity abnormalities characterized by high T2/FLAIR signal in the basal ganglia, and nerve optic enlargement in keeping with glioma

These findings are strongly supported by the clinical diagnosis of NF1.
