The differential diagnosis in this case includes : 1) Focal nodular hyperplasia 2) Adenoma
What further imaging can be useful?
Both three phase CT and MRI are useful. In this age group MRI was suggested to further characterize the lesion.
There was no sign of cholecystitis.
However, fortuitous finding of a voluminous left lobe subcapsular liver mass, with internal vascularization on Doppler. The mass is isoechoic to the liver. There could be a central scar.
