Any abnormalities on this chest radiograph?
There is a large right sided pneumothorax. The underlying lungs and thoracic cage are normal.
What is important to notice with this?
There are early signs of tension pneumothorax - although the trachea is central, the heart is slightly shifted to the right. Especially in comparison with the next x-ray, the right ribs are splayed. This needs emergency treatment.

The trachea is central, however the patient is rotated to the right. There is mediastinal shift to the left and rib splaying on the right.
No displaced rib fractures.
