How are these injuries classified, and which type is this one?
There are three types of occipital condyle fractures. Type 1 - impaction fracture (stable), Type 2 - skull fracture extending to occipital condyle (stable), and Type 3 - avulsion fracture at attachment of alar ligament (potentially unstable). This case demonstrates a type 3 occipital condyle fracture.
