Gastroesophageal reflux or pyloric stenosis. Other causes of vomiting include high obstruction in midgut volvulus/duodenal web, but the vomiting in the latter is usually bilious.

Ultrasound of the pylorus. It is non invasive, quick and a non-ionising study. The relative limitation is that the degree of certainty of sonographic diagnosis depends on the experience of the operator.

Presentation

Projectile, non bilious vomiting 2 weeks. Voracious appetite with no weight gain. No response to treatment for gastroesophageal reflux.
