What is the differential for this sign?
Constrictive pericarditis, pericardial tamponade, pulmonary hypertension, left bundle branch block
Opposed to the more general sign demonstrated in the images, what is the term for right ventricular dysfunction with a normally kinetic ventricular apex with hypokinetic mid and basilar walls? What pathologic process is it compatible with?
McConnell sign: Compatible with acute pulmonary embolism or RV infarct.

The septum demonstrates abnormal movement with each cardiac cycle, termed a "bounce." In these images, the pericardium is thickened, compatible with a diagnosis of constrictive pericarditis.
