What are the criteria for diagnosing early pregnancy failure on a single scan?
According to Australian guidelines: on TV scanning: (1) anembryonic pregnancy: no fetal pole or yolk sac with mean sac diameter 25 mm or more; (2) CRL of 7 mm or more with no embryonic heart rate.
Transvaginal ultrasound shows a gestational sac, size: 43 mm x 50 mm x 20 mm. MSD = 38.0 mm
Yolk sac: not visible.
Embryo present - CRL - 11mm. Embryonic heart action absent.
