Presentation

The patient presented with a history of atraumatic, sudden-onset, severe left buttock and posterior thigh pain with a fever of 2 weeks duration. Pain was described as constant, and symptoms were aggravated by all movement, especially the acts of standing, walking, and sitting. His medical history was unremarkable, except a neglected infected wound of the left foot since 1 and ½ month.
