The CT brain is normal. This is not unusual in headache and CT should really only be used for investigation in headache where there are red flags to suggest a cause that requires urgent treatment (most causes that require treatment will be seen on a CT and CT is ubiquitous, quick and available):

• acute onset (worst headache ever)
• focal neurology
• nausea and vomiting
• reduced conscious level
