Inguinoscrotal hernia containing bladder

Discussion:

Bladder hernia is a rare condition that usually occurs in middle-aged men. It should be suspected in any male with obstructive symptoms of the lower urinary tract and associated inguinal hernia. The radiological diagnostic test of choice to evaluate this disease is Retrograde and voiding cystourethrogram, and treatment of choice is that the hernia and bladder outlet obstruction.

The low frequency of occurrence of bladder involvement in cases of inguinal hernias, makes its diagnosis often goes unnoticed. Just keep in mind the possibility of this disease in all patients with symptoms of lower urinary tract obstructive and concomitant inguinal hernia
