Fibrous cortical defect

Discussion:

Fibrous cortical defects (FCDs) are benign bony lesions which are usually small in size, occur in skeletally immature children between age 2-15 years, and are usually asymptomatic. They are typically seen in the distal femur, proximal and distal tibia. The location of this lesion, its size, metadiaphyseal location, and the bones involved all support FCDs.
