Does the CT myelogram confirm the presence of an arachnoid cyst?
Yes. Note the hyperdense contrast outlining the ventral aspect of the cyst.
How are symptomatic spinal arachnoid cysts treated?
Surgical resection / marsupialization is curative.
The patient went on to have a myelogram, which demonstrates contrast pooling in the dependent portions of a cystic structure with imperceptible walls, located posterior to the thoracic cord.
