What are the differentials to entertain?
The main differentials are made in between a high-grade glioma and lymphoma, given the age group and location involving the corpus callosum and crossing the midline. Brain abscess and metastases are rarely seen in the corpus callosum and therefore, felt less likely differentials.
There is a mass centred in the posterior body and splenium of the corpus callosum extending towards the right in what appears to represent a subependymal distribution. It has a hyperdense soft tissue component and a likely central hypodense/necrotic area. Significant surrounding vasogenic oedema involving both hemispheres, but more prominent on the right. There is the distortion of the posterior horn of the right lateral ventricle, the calcification adjacent to the mass represents the physiological choroid plexus calcification.
