MRI features of a large retrocrural soft tissue mass extending to the retroperitoneum encasing the great vessels in a neonate with intraspinal extension, suggestive of a neuroblastoma.

Neonatal neuroblastoma is a type of congenital neuroblastoma,and have much better prognosis than those found in older children with 90% being cured. Around 20% of neonatal neuroblastomas present with spinal cord compression due to intraspinal tumor extension ( as in this case). Catecholamines are within normal limits or only slightly elevated.
