Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor

Intra-operative findings were that of a hard right iliac fossa and right hemipelvic mass with dilated veins over surface and omental adhesions. The mass was free from the iliac vessels, uterus, fallopian tube and ovaries. It was adherent to the cecum.

Histopathologic diagnosis: inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor. This is commonly called an inflammatory pseudotumor.
