How would you further assess this lesion and exclude an aneurysm?
Patients who can have an MRI should have one, both to confirm the presence of an abnormality and hopefully preoperatively make the diagnosis allowing appropriate surgical planning. An aneurysm should be obvious even if thrombosed.
