Ectopic pregnancies are gynecological emergencies and the clinical team should be made aware as soon as possible of the diagnosis. 

If a patient has a positive Beta hCG and no intrauterine mass, but no ectopic gestation has been identified, it is important to let the clinical team know that ectopic gestation cannot be ruled out.
