What are some features of erosive OA?
Affects the DIP, PIP and 1st CMC joints; loss of joint space typically central erosions giving a gullwing apperance without marginal osteophytes or osteopaenia.
A degenerative pattern of arthritis affects the DIP and PIP joints of all the fingers and the DIP joints of both thumbs. There are a few erosions and the PIP joints demonstrated a "gullwing appearance". Findings are consistent with an erosive osteoarthritis.
