Fibrous cortical defect

Discussion:

Fibrous cortical defect is a benign lesion and affects young people up to 15 years. It is asymptomatic and is usually discovered accidentally. In fibrous cortical defect or nonossifying fibroma, bone tissue is replaced by fibrous tissue. Finishing skeletal growth causes spontaneous healing of these lesions with replacement of fibrous tissue with bone tissue.
