Glioblastoma NOS

Discussion:

This case illustrates typical non-contrast appearances of a WHO grade IV glioma, in this case a glioblastoma arising from an oligoastrocytoma.

Note:  In a case of a glioblastoma arising from a pre-existing lower grade tumor, it would likely be IDH mutated. This case, however, predates the recent (2016) revision WHO classification of CNS tumors and IDH status is not available. As such, this tumor would now be classified as a glioblastoma NOS.
