What is the definition of orbital pseudotumor?
It an idiopathic inflammatory condition that affects the extraocular muscles but can also affect the uvea, sclera, lacrimal gland and retrobulbar structures.
What are the classification of orbital pseudotumor?
Division into a number of subgroups according to the location has been affected: 1. myositic pseudotumour: predominantly involve the EOMs and therefore mimics thyroid ophthalmopathy 2. lacrimal pseudotumour 3. anterior pseudotumour: immediately behind the globe 4. posterior pseudotumour: distinguished from Tolosa-Hunt syndrome in that the cavernous sinus is spared 5. diffuse pseudotumour
What is the DD of orbital pseudotumor?
Orbital cellulitis, Wegener granulomatosis orbital lymphoma, thyroid-associated orbitopathy (TAO), orbital sarcoidosis, orbital rhabdomyosarcoma, orbital metastases.
Right proptosis due to retrobulbar intraconal soft tissue tumefactive lesion. It is displaying homogenous fair contrast enhancement.
