Rastelli procedure

Discussion:

This case demonstrates CT findings of a patient who underwent Rastelli procedure.

The Rastelli procedure is a surgical technique which re-directs ventricular outflows using an intracardiac baffle that tunnels the left ventricle to the aorta and an external valved conduit that connects the right ventricle and the pulmonary arteries. Indications for this surgery include dextro-transposition of the great arteries (d-TGA) associated with ventricular septal defect (VSD) and some degree of left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) obstruction, pulmonary atresia with VSD (PA-VSD), and double outlet right ventricle with pulmonary stenosis or atresia.
