Slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE)

Discussion:

Slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) is relatively common among children. The complications of SCFE often worsen due to delays in diagnosis and management 1. This can lead to femoral growth arrest, femoral head osteonecrosis, chondrolysis, chronic pain, and development of SCFE in the contralateral hip 2.
