Artery of Percheron infarct

Discussion:

Artery of Percheron infarct is a type of posterior circulation infarction that occurs in the presence of a solitary arterial trunk (aka artery of Percheron) that supplies blood to the paramedian thalami and the rostral midbrain bilaterally.

A patent foramen ovale was diagnosed in the transesophageal echocardiography.
