T6/T7 disc extrusion present causes spinal canal stenosis, with compression of the spinal cord and abnormal cord signal consistent with myelomalacia, or oedema. T6/T7 disc narrowing and desiccation and endplate irregularity present.
Extradural calcification, better seen on CT, extends superior and inferior from the extruded disc.
Minor disc osteophyte complexes at T7/T8 and T8/T9 cause no spinal canal narrowing.
