Malignant melanoma of rectum with extensive vertebral metastasis

Discussion:

Multiple space occupying  lytic lesion are seen at visible vertebrae wich show enhancement on post contrast images. One of the lesions at L3 vertebrae has a large soft tissue component and invade into the right psoas muscle.Expansion of the same vertebral body causes anterior indentation of thecal sac and canal narrowing. Metastasis is the most likely diagnosis.

Case is from Dr Mohamadhosein Daghighi- Professor, Department of radiology at Tabriz University of Medical Science
