Triquetral and wrist fractures

Discussion:

Distal radial and ulnar fractures daily occur in A & E departments.

Fractures of the carpal bones are less common with scaphoid fractures making up the majority, with triquetral fractures a distance second.

Triqueteral fractures are typically only identified on the lateral film.

Combined wrist and triquetral fractures are uncommon.
