Distal radial and ulnar fractures are daily occurs in A & E departments.

Fractures of the carpal bones are less common with scaphoid fractures making up the majority, with triqueral fractures a distance second.

Triqueteral fractures are typically only identified on the lateral film.

Combined wrist and triqueteral fractures are uncommon.
