What sign is demonstrated which is visible within seconds / minutes of onset of symptoms?
Hyperdense MCA sign.
Hyperdense right distal internal carotid artery and proximal middle cerebral artery in keeping with thrombus.
There is a subtle loss of grey-white matter differentiation involving the right insular cortex as well as the right frontoparietal MCA territory.
The left cerebral hemisphere is unremarkable
No intracranial haemorrhage. Periventricular chronic small vessel ischaemia noted. The ventricles and sulci are age-appropriate.
