With left sided motor and sensory disturbance, a lesion on the right involving the pre- and post-central gyri (motor and sensory cortexes) is likely.

The symptoms sound in keeping with an acute infarct or stroke. If the patient meets certain criteria and a haemorrhagic stroke is excluded, they may be candidates for thrombolysis or clot retrieval (typically if treated within 3 - 4.5 hours of symptom onset).

Presentation

Sudden onset dense left hemiparesis and loss of sensation. Previous subarachnoid hemorrhage. In scanner 2 hours from onset of symptoms.
