This is an overview of chest x-ray interpretation, it assumes a basic understanding of chest anatomy and pathology.
It is part one of a two-part series.
Part one:
A very basic presentation that outlines the search strategy that is thorough and some common pathologies that are seen day-to-day in radiology departments.
This basic overview does not cover complex radiological image interpretation, nor does it delve into the various differential diagnoses that accompany every pathology outlined here.
Part two:
A self-testing module with cases pertaining to the material learnt in part one.
Congratulations when you feel ready to test your new knowledge out, go on to part two.
