MSK. Soft tissue masses

  • Liposarcoma: could be very similar to lipoma. It is better to be reported as a fatty mass lesion for histopathology
  • PNST: should be suspected in case of masses at the medial aspect of the arm close to the neurovascular bundle. The medial cutaneous nerve should be also considered as an origin.
  • Soft tissue hemangioma: could arise in old patients as in this case of 55 years old. Internal phleboli is not a constant rule.  May arise in locations such as interdigital in hands and feet where neurogenic tumors are first to be suspected.
