Presentation

Following recent drug use, the patient was unresponsive and underwent CPR, including the administration of adrenaline. Upon arrival at the emergency department, the patient was intubated and required intraosseous access for resuscitation. There was a history of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, having undergone endoscopic clipping for a bleeding ulcer, gastroduodenal artery embolisation, and Whipple procedure, as well as a cholecystectomy. Additionally, the patient suffers from chronic renal disease necessitating hemodialysis, but their right upper extremity arteriovenous fistula is nonfunctional due to thrombus formation.
