Presentation

The left lower limb severe pain, limping and swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

The Achilles tendon appears swollen and enlarged with the loss of its inner convexity. It is surrounded by a linear hypoechoic lining and associated with marked hyperemia on color Doppler study.

Moderate edematous changes were seen around the Achilles tendon.

No gross tear.
