Patient Data
Disruption of the AC joint capsule and the AC ligaments. Partial rupture of the CC ligaments.
Abnormal intra-substance increased signal and thickening is present along the course of subscapularis tendon, likely related to tendinosis associated with bone marrow edema/bruise at the greater and lesser tuberosities.
Acromion type II also is noted.
Subacromion-subdeltoid bursal effusion also is seen.
Case Discussion
Patient referred to us with the history of shoulder pain and immobility after direct shoulder trauma. Regarding the imaging findings, this is a type 2 acromioclavicular injury according to Rockwood clasification.
