Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Right-sided elbow pain after lifting weight.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

Minimally retracted complete rupture of the distal bicep’s tendon with peritendinous edema and hemorrhage.

The intact lacerates fibrosus arising from the biceps tendon limit tendon retraction.

Both collateral ligaments have normal appearances.

The flexor and extensor tendons have normal appearances.

The ulna nerve is of normal signal intensity.

The bone marrow is of normal appearance.

Case Discussion

MR Imaging findings are consistent with distal biceps brachii complete rupture and intact lacertus fibrosus.
