Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

A 7 x 11 x 17 mm well-defined lobulated soft tissue lesion is abutting the ventromedial aspect of the flexor tendon sheaths of the index finger opposite the proximal interphalangeal joint causing focal contour bulge.

It elicits persistent low signals at the T1/T2 pulse sequences.

Case Discussion

Tenosynovial giant cell tumors are usually benign lesions that arise from the tendon sheath. On imaging, these lesions are commonly demonstrated as localized, solitary, subcutaneous soft tissue nodules, with low T1 and T2 signal and moderate enhancement.
