Presentation

Gradual swelling of the right-hand middle finger at the level of PIP joint palmar aspect.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

Focal soft-tissue swelling at the radial volar aspect of the middle finger at the level of the proximal interphalangeal joint with adhesion to flexor tendons sheath.

Case Discussion

MRI findings suggest a tenosynovial giant cell tumor arising from the flexor tendons sheath, with a differential diagnosis of tendon sheath fibroma. T2* and contrast can differentiate between the two.
