Generalized brain atrophic changes are noted, however, there is disproportionate atrophy of the cerebellum, pons, and medulla oblongata associated with flattening of the ventral pons, widening of the 4th ventricle and high T2 SI in pontocerebellar tracts with hot cross bun sign.
