Presentation
Right knee trauma about three weeks back. Complaining of pain on the lateral aspect of the knee.
Patient Data
There is a thin-walled anechoic cyst (12 x 10 x 2 mm) abutting the lateral meniscus body region. There is a fluid cleft extension from this cyst into the lateral meniscus.
The lateral collateral ligament, biceps femoris tendon, the iliotibial band are intact with a normal echo pattern.

Case Discussion
A young male presented with post-traumatic lateral knee region pain. Ultrasound findings favor a lateral parameniscal cyst with a peripheral meniscal tear.
