Presentation
Trauma, followed by medial knee pain
Patient Data
Bone contusions with marrow edema in medial tibial condyle.
Sprain of posteromedial joint capsule in including oblique popliteal ligament.
Edema involving medial meniscocapsular junction with tear of meniscotibial ligament.
Low grade sprain of semimembranosus tendon is seen.
Linear hyperintensity seen in posterior horn medial meniscus not intersecting with articular margins (Grade 2a signal) – likely meniscal degeneration/ intrasubstance tear not reaching upto surface.
Low grade sprain of tibial attachment of ACL is seen. Its continuity is maintained.
Case Discussion
Edema involving medial meniscocapsular junction with tear of meniscotibial ligament consistent with a ramp lesion.
