Recent extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL).

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Several small stones aligned in the lower portion of the left ureter resembling Steinstrasse.

Another stone is also observed at the left paramedian region at the level of L2-L3.

Case Discussion

Steinstrasse or stone street, describing a complication of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) for urinary tract calculi, wherein a column of stone fragments forms that blocks the ureter.
