Aortic dissection extended to lusory artery

Discussion:

An aberrant right subclavian artery is the most common of congenital anomalies of the aortic arch with a prevalence ranging between 0.4% and 2%. This anomaly is characterized by the right subclavian artery originating from the posterior margin and the distal end of the horizontal part of the aortic arch, at the level with the junction to the descending aorta or, less frequently, from the proximal descending aorta.

‘Arteria lusoria’ is the name coined for a retroesophageal right subclavian artery.
