An intracavitary hyperechoic endometrial lesion is noted with tiny cystic changes. It is mildly expanding the upper part of the endometrial cavity. It shows avid internal vascularity on colour Doppler with feeding arterial supply through its upper pole. There is minimal rim of fluid separating the lesion from the surrounding endometrium.
The junctional zone is widened measuring 13 mm with increased vascularity, suggestive of diffuse uterine adenomyosis.
