Injury to left lower leg, ankle, and foot due to fall from a motorbike in a road traffic accident. Clinical examination: tenderness and swelling of left lower leg, ankle, and foot, no open wound noted.

Left fibula shaft lower third fracture is noted
Soft tissue swelling is noted
Case Discussion
The distal tibiofibular syndesmosis appears intact.
This type of ankle fracture may need ORIF.
Maisonneuve fractures may be found in this type of injury, so a radiograph of the proximal fibula is advised.
